Pete's Tire was founded in 1992 by Peter Brock. He had worked in the tire business for 15 years before venturing out on his own. He started his business out of the Lowell Hagan Trucking building. After 7 years, Pete was bored and decided he should start yet another shop in Elkhorn. With the help of his daughter, Rebecca, and his son-in-law, Mike Krebs, they took over the old Firestone Coop. Rebecca and Mike were appointed to oversee the Elkhorn store. After ten years, the Goodyear store down the road was going out of business, so Pete decided to take over that building. He bought the building in February of 2002.
